Abstract:
To efficiently extract a discharge capacity in a high discharge depth region of a lithium ion secondary battery.SOLUTION: In a discharge method for a lithium ion secondary battery, a lithium ion secondary battery includes at least: a positive electrode having a positive electrode active material layer formed on a positive electrode collector; a negative electrode having a negative electrode active material layer formed on a negative electrode collector; and an electrolyte. As the positive electrode active material, the positive electrode includes at least a first positive electrode active material which, when changing a battery charging rate in a discharge direction among the charging rates in a continuous range, shifts from a first range in which a voltage change is relatively large in comparison with a charge in the rate change, to a second range in which a voltage change is relatively small. The discharge method includes reducing a discharge rate when the charging rate of the lithium ion secondary battery reaches the second range.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
