Abstract:
To prevent occurrence of longitudinal crack on a shell or to make casting condition controllable thereafter by diagnosing abnormal solidification of molten steel in a mold from the mold temperature.
A frequency is obtained from data of temperature variation obtained by measuring the temperature of the mold 2, and when this frequency becomes higher with the lapse of time time, it is decided that the abnormal solidification occurs.
