Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for rapidly and accurately discriminating the variety of rice at a low cost without needing a skill.
SOLUTION: This method for discriminating the variety of a rice sample comprises performing a PCR method using a DNA extracted from the rice sample as a template by the use of a pairing primer comprising 8 to 50 residues on the forward side and the reverse side of a random primer to amplify only a band showing discriminability among the varieties, and then detecting the variety of the rice sample by electrophoresis.
