To provide a method for disinfecting soil by heating with hot water, capable of reducing the number of hoses for splashing hot water relative to the area of the soil so as to perform the installation work of the hoses for splashing hot water and removing work of them after completing the soil disinfection work quickly with less labor.

This method for disinfecting the soil by heating with hot water is provided by extending the hoses for splashing hot water having many ejecting holes (11a) and loading the hoses on the surface (10a) of the soil (10), covering the soil surface (10a) including each of the hoses for splashing hot water (11) with a sheet (14), also elevating the inner peripheral part of the sheet (14) up to a position so that the most of hot water ejected from the hoses for splashing hot water does not make a contact with the sheet, in this state, ejecting hot water (18) from the hoses (11) for splashing hot water to penetrate the soil (10) with hot water (18), and elevating the temperature of the prescribed upper layer part of the soil (10) at higher than that of the extinction of crop pathogenic bacteria.
