In addition to main information, advertising information is contained in information that can be fetched by a portable information terminal with a single one fetching operation. After the portable information terminal has fetched the information, the main information and the advertising information are separated and are displayed on separate screens. The advertising information is displayed at least on a waiting screen, while prescribed information is being fetched.
