Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To graphically display difference of elevation or an altitude so as to be visually and easily understood.
SOLUTION: This is a method of displaying the difference of elevation, the difference of elevation from a reference altitude is displayed by making the altitude of an automobile when instructed, a reference altitude and displaying a reference altitude mark RM at the center of a screen. The difference of elevation is classified into a plurality of ranges. Scale SCL of the difference of the elevation of a display screen is changed and size of an automobile mark CM is made small, so that scale ratio enlarges as the range of the difference of the elevation enlarges. The automobile mark is displayed at a position of the difference of the elevation, and the difference of the elevation is displayed with numerals.
