Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to display digital images of the original high resolution on an LCD of low resolution by selecting plural pixels for conversion from the same group and using the respective RGB values of these pixels as the RGB values of the corresponding pixels in the LCD.
SOLUTION: The three pixels 31 for conversion are selected from the same group and the respective RGB values of these pixels 31 are used as the RGB values of the corresponding pixels in the LCD. As a result, the images displayed on the LCD are more smoothed in the transition of the colors from one pixel to the adjacent pixels. This processing is repetitively executed until all the groups in a pixel array 30 of the high resolution corresponds to the corresponding pixels in the LCD. The RGB values extracted from the respective groups are combined and are used for driving the corresponding pixels in the LCD.
