Abstract:
To adsorb metal ions, and efficiently eliminate the metal ions and clad from used ion exchange resin in which clad is mixed containing iron oxide as a main component.SOLUTION: A method for dissolving used ion exchange resin comprises: an agitation process in which metal ions are adsorbed, an elution tank 1 is filled with powdered or granular used ion exchange resin in which clad is mixed containing iron oxide as a main component, and an acid eluent, the used ion exchange resin and the acid eluent are heated inside the elution tank 1 and agitated by boiling the acid eluent, the metal ions are eluted from the used ion exchange resin, and clad is solved; and an eluent feeding process in which the acid eluent subsequently is fed upflow or downflow to the elution tank 1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
