PURPOSE: To improve operational efficiency in a wet die method for metallic wire by enhancing lubricity and improving drawing force for the metallic wire.

CONSTITUTION: In this drawing method in which a high pressure fluid is supplied to a high pressure chamber provided among plural dies, a guide 4 with a tapered hole diameter is connected to the preceding stage of the first stage die, the lubricant introduced from the guide 4 side together with a wire is guided into a lubricant holding chamber 8 between the guide and the first level die 5, and the wire is introduced to the succeeding die 6 for lubrication while the lubricant pressure is increased in the holding chamber 8, the wire drawing is executed by applying a ultrasonic vibration to the entire die unit in the drawing direction. The introduction of the lubricant to the boundary is accelerated, the lubricity is improved, so that the drawing resistance is reduced, and the drawing speed is increased.
