Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of drying a raw granulated material to be sintered, preventing powdering from a surface of the granulated material and reducing a powder rate after drying while maintaining strength improvement effect of the granulated material by drying.SOLUTION: A binder consisting of either one or two of caustic lime and hydrated lime is added to a raw material to be sintered used for iron steel manufacturing, and the raw material to be sintered is granulated, a temperature of the granulated material at an outlet side of a fluid bed type dryer is set at 50°C to 80°C when drying the granulated material by the fluid bed type dryer, and a moisture content of the granulated material is set at 1 mass% to 4 mass% by outer percentage.
