To provide a method of drying substance to be dried, which prevents sludge from becoming a scale and adhering into a container to perform dry treatment.
In an agitating drier which possesses a heating medium by a heat medium at least around a container to perform dry treatment and heats indirectly the substance and also is provided with a plurality of agitating vanes coupled with an agitation shaft, within that container, and has a motor coupled with the agitation shaft and agitates the substance by rotating the agitating vanes through the agitation shaft by that motor thereby drying the substance, a kind of fat and oil is added to the substance to be dried for the purpose of preventing the adhesion to a heating face of the substance to be dried, and the substance is dried, by agitating it while indirectly heating the substance within the said container by the heat medium.
