Abstract:
To provide a method for drying a sulfonated polymer whereby the polymer can be dried without detriment to its functions such as electrical properties.
The method for drying a sulfonated polymer is one wherein the sulfonated polymer is dried at a temperature lower by at least 120°C than the temperature of decomposition through desulfonation as measured on a sample prepared by washing the obtained sulfonated polymer with water by a thermogravimetric analysis (under measurement conditions including a nitrogen atmosphere and a temperature rise rate of 20°C/min).
