PURPOSE: To obtain a high-quality duplicate disk with no gas bubbles mixed therein, by a method wherein a liquid molding resin layer is previously provided between a backing member and a support frame for the backing member, and while maintaining this condition, a liquid molding resin is poured.
CONSTITUTION: A small amount of the liquid molding resin 25 is poured through a pouring valve shaft 11 which is vertically movably provided at a central part of a metallic clamp 14 of a stamper, and the surface (which is to be faced to the backing member 2) of the support frame 19 provided at the upper end of the shaft 11 is previously wetted with the liquid molding resin 25. When placing the backing member 2 on the frame 19, the corner parts formed by the backing member 2 and a chamfered part 22 is filled with the liquid molding resin 25 so as to prevent the generation and remaining of gas bubbles. Then, the pouring valve shaft 11 is moved upward to enable the backing member 2 to be placed in position. The backing member 2 is placed in position, and while maintaining the condition where the corner parts formed by the chamfered part 22 and the backing member 2 is filled with the liquid molding resin, a further amount of the liquid molding resin required for forming a transfer layer is poured. Then, after pressing and coating operations, the liquid resin layer is hardened by irradiating it with ultraviolet rays through the backing member 2.
