Title:
METHOD FOR DYEING LENS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6477019
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To dye a lens having a cured film layer which consists essentially of an org. silicon compd. without impairing the intrinsic hardness of the cured film layer by immersing said lens into a sol. contg. a surfactant, then bringing the lens into contact with a dyeing liquid, thereby dyeing the lens. CONSTITUTION:The lens formed with the cured film layer which consists essentially of the org. silicon compd. on the base material of the lens is first immersed into the soln. contg. the surfactant. The surfactant is exemplified by an anionic or nonionic surfactant. The concn. of the surfactant in the soln. is preferably >=1wt.%, more particularly preferably 3-5wt.%; the immersion temp. is preferably >=70 deg.C, more particularly preferably 80-90 deg.C, and the immersion time is preferably >=2min, more particularly preferably 3-5min. The lens having the cured film layer is brought into contact with the dyeing liquid, by which the lens id dyed. The lens having the cured film is thereby uniformly dyed without generating speck-like unequal colors.
