Abstract:

PURPOSE: To naturally drop pH of a dyeing bath with rise in temperature and to dye polyamide-based yarn products efficiently, uniformly and evenly by adding a specific pH adjustor to a dyeing bath.
CONSTITUTION: In dyeing a polyamide-based yarn product at ≥60°C by using a dyeing bath having an initial pH adjusted to pH 5-13, a pH adjustor of formula I [(n) is 0-3; X and Y are H, OH, Cl or Br with the proviso that X and Y are not H at the same time; R and R' are (CH2)m-CH3, group of formula II or formula III or 2-5C polyhydric alcohol residue; (m) is 0-2; (p) is 1-3; R" is H or CH3; Z is OH or Cl], pH of the bathing bath is naturally dropped with rise in temperature to efficiently provide the polyamide-based yarn products having excellent level dyeing properties. An ester compound of malic acid and an alcohol is preferable as the pH adjustor and a diester derivative of malic acid and ethylene glycol may be cited as the preferable example.
