Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent environmental pollution by disposal and an effective use of the surplus soil in a construction site produced by an excavation for construction work or tunneling work.
CONSTITUTION: In a method for an effective use of the surplus soil in a construction site wherein the surplus soil is mixed with cement type stabilizer, the resulting mixture is pressed and dehydrated to form a cake and this cake is crushed and classified for an effective use, the surface of crushed stone is treated to prevent the elution of alkaline ions therefrom after crushing or classifying process. Therefore, in an artificial ground embodying one of the inventive concepts of effective surplus soil usage, the pH of the rainwater which has passed between the crushed stones can be kept within the standard pH range of 6.5-8.6 by the aforesaid treatment of the crushed stone surface and the effective use of the surplus soil is thus realized to eliminate the possibility of environmental pollution.
