Title:
METHOD FOR ELIMINATING STRAIN AND WORK HARDENING OF BLANK FOR CLUTCH ROTOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3856674
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly and economically eliminate any strain and work hardening generated in an inner circumferential edge of a concentric blank for manufacturing a clutch rotor without losing any required strength.
SOLUTION: The blank 1 for the clutch rotor is alternately transferred immediately below and above six induction coils 5, 5, etc., successively by a feeding mechanism 6, and the high frequency magnetic field of 25 kHz is applied to the circumferential edge 3 of a center hole 2 from an upper surface side or a lower surface side thereof alternately by three seconds. The upper surface side or the lower surface side is alternately head-generated by the eddy current loss attributable thereto, and the temperature of the circumferential edge 3 of the center hole 2 finally rises to 700-730°C. Then, the heat-treated blank 1 for the clutch rotor is placed in a heat insulation box, and left therein for about four hours and slowly cooled.
