PURPOSE: To obtain a pure-white indication mark by forming the coated faces of three layers and irradiating these coated faces with laser beams to partially burn off a third and second layers and embossing the indication mark in a groove part which is obtained by this burning.

CONSTITUTION: A first layer 3 is formed on the upper face of a button main body 2 by white coating. A second layer 4 is formed on the upper face of the first layer 3 by black coating. Then a third layer 5 is formed on the upper face of the second layer 4 by black-based coating blended with colored pigment. Total thickness T of the third layer 5 and the second layer 4 is regulated to about 20-35μm. The third layer 5 and the second layer 4 are irradiated with laser beams and partially burnt off to form a groove part 6. Thereby the pure- white indication marks A are embossed.
