In a shape of a protrusion and a recess of a debossing plate for engraving a braille on a sheet product or a sheet article case, the shape of the protrusion and the recess is formed in a non-similar state, and an a/b value of a maximum length (a) to a height (b) of a diameter of a semi-spherical state of the protrusion is reduced smaller than a c/d value of a maximum length (c) to a height (d) of a diameter of a semi-spherical state of the recess. A length (c) of a diameter of a maximum value of a semi-spherical state of the recess is formed in a range of 1.0 to 2.0 mm, and a height (d) thereof is formed in a range of 0.2 to 0.6 mm. Further, the recess or the recess and the protrusion are heated to 150°C or higher and engraved. The braille is given by the method for engraving the braille.
