To provide a method for continuous hot-dip metal coating on a steel strip in which the occurrence of wear flaw and the occurrence of surface defects are prevented when turning the direction of the steel strip in a coating bath, and to provide the equipment.
The hot-dip galvanizing equipment 11 has a pot 12, a means 13 of turning the direction of the steel strip disposed in the pot, and an enclosing means 14; and an internal plating-bath region (A) and an external plating-bath region (B) are constituted in the plating bath 15 by means of an enclosure 14a. The flow of plating solution in the internal plating-bath region (A) is formed into turbulent flow by the resultant accompanying flow and the jet flow of the plating solution, and bottom dross 9 is discharged, without being settled on the bottom of the internal plating-bath region (A), into the external plating-bath region (B) via an outflow hole 20a of an enclosure 19a in which the bottom dross can be settled. The plating solution is sucked via both or either of a suction hole 17b and a suction hole 17a by means of a switching device 24 and discharged into a bend floater 13a.
