Title:
METHOD AND EQUIPMENT FOR FORMING CELLULOSE DERIVATIVE PARTICLE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3051262
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a method and equipment by which particles of a cellulose derivative comprising an oxycarboxylic acid ester can be industrially formed easily in the highly viscous liquid reaction product of the cellulose derivative.
CONSTITUTION: A method for forming particles of a cellulose derivative comprising an oxycarboxylic acid ester by mixing water with the liquid reaction product of the cellulose derivative and adjusting the hydrogen ion concentration of the mixture to form the particles in the mixture, wherein acetic acid is used as a solvent for the reaction in an amount of at most 250 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. cellulose, the liquid reaction product is joined with water, and the confluent mixture is agitated at a plurality of constrictions 9 provided in series in the confluent path 20 by turning rotating agitating blades 14, 15 along the peripheral wall to thereby deposit the particles of the product.
