Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain method and equipment for measuring a deodorant automatically by gas chromatograph in which the dynamic performance of deodorant can be evaluated quantitatively, automatically and continuously.

CONSTITUTION: Air being fed from an air supply 1 is admixed with an odor gas component being fed from a gas supply 2 and fed through a flowmeter 3 to set a constant flow rate. It is then fed to a moisture supply 4 where the moisture of gas is regulated and the gas is passed through a deodorant 6 mounted on a deodorant tank 7. Finally, the gas is fed to a constant quantity dispenser 8 for feeding a constant quantity of sample gas to a gas chromatograph body 9 where a gas chromatograph detector 10 determines the components of sample. The data is processed by means of a data processor 12 thus evaluating the deodorant.
