Abstract:
To obtain an equipment for measuring the molten metal level in a mold in continuous casting operation where erroneous signal is suppressed while facilitating the installation.
A signal is transmitted through an electrode 1 inserted into a molten metal 10 in a mold 7 and received through the mold 7. Propagation distance of signal is then calculated, based on the difference of time when a signal is transmitted and received and the molten metal level is calculated, based on the propagation distance of signal.
