PURPOSE: To allow delicate control of roll alignment in which the roll alignment can be measured highly accurately without requiring additional manpower or time.

CONSTITUTION: The roll alignment measuring equipment for continuous casting machine, in which the alignment of cast piece guide rolls arranged continuously is measured automatically, comprises a laser transmitter 15 transmitting the laser light in a predetermined direction disposed on a dummy bar 14 passing between the cast piece guide rolls or on the ground side, and a laser receiver 16 receiving the laser light from the laser transmitter 15 and outputting a signal representative of the receiving position of the laser light. A signal processor 23 receiving an output signal from the laser receiver 16 and calculating the roll alignment based on the laser light receiving position is also provided.
