PURPOSE: To make it possible to apply a rolling process to semiprocessed products having a shoulder part or a stepped part which is annularly protruding as well by performing each rolling process in a transversing direction to the semiprocessed products in the case of rolling a solid or hollow member.
CONSTITUTION: Axes 2', 3' of rolling heads 2, 3 are arranged in parallel to the axis 1' of the semiprocessed products. Thereby, the semiprocessed products 1 is guided so as to approach extremely closely the rolling heads 2, 3 in the direction of the arrow V. Further, even the remarkable stepped part 1''' of the semiprocessed products 1 can be rolled. Moreover, both rolling heads 2, 3 are driven in the same rotational direction n1, n2, thereby, parallel components of force vectors which faces in opposite directions are offset, only the composite rotational moment is adapted to the semiprocessed products 1 and the uniform load is operated over the longitudinal axis 1' of the semiprocessed products. On the other hand, the drive of both rolling heads 2, 3 is simplified as well.
