Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a method and equipment for the side trimming of the austenitic stainless steel strip where the width precision is high, the cut surface is excellent, and no edge cracks are generated.
CONSTITUTION: In continuously shearing and removing the side edge part of the austenitic stainless steel strip which passes the continuous annealing and pickling line after the hot rolling, the part to be sheared of the side edge part of the strip 1 is heated by an edge heating furnace 3 within the temperature range of 60-200°C prior to the shearing.
