Abstract:
To provide a method and equipment for treating ashes, by each of which iron or aluminum can be made to remain in ash as much as possible and useful metals such as copper, lead, zinc and cadmium can be extracted selectively at a low cost.
This method for treating ashes comprises the steps of dissolving ashes in a chloride ion-containing aqueous solution in the presence of sulfuric acid and extracting useful metals in ashes.
