The heat transfer pipe group 37a of a decomposition acceleration device 37 and the heat transfer pipe group of a high temperature air preheater 38 are arranged in the high temperature region where the temperature of exhaust gas is 700°C or higher on the outlet side of a main combustion chamber 32 and the exhaust gas is mixed and stirred in these heat transfer pipe groups and high temperature radiant heat is applied to the exhaust gas at the same time to accelerate the thermal decomposition of dioxins and/or precursor substances of them and, further, the precursor substances are crushed by the collision of the exhaust gas with the heat transfer pipe groups and combustion reaction is accelerated by the catalytic action of the oxide formed on the surfaces of the heat transfer pipe groups to thermally decompose dioxins and/or the precursor substances thereof.
