Abstract:

PURPOSE: To estimate Si in molten iron with high accuracy by estimating the component in the molten iron based on reactivity of coke, heat flow rate at lower part in a furnace and slag basicity in a bosh part.

CONSTITUTION: In the blast furnace operation, by calculating from items of reflecting ratio in a coke plant, total inert, etc., the reactivity of coke (CRI) is estimated. Further, the heat flow rate at the lower part in the furnace is calculated from the blast furnace operational items of gas and solid-liquid heat flow rates, etc. Further, the slag basicity in the bosh part is obtd. from the ratio of the total CaO and SiO2 obtd. from raw material blending ratio. Based on the above CRI, heat flow rate at the lower part in the furnace and slag basicity in the bosh part, Si in the molten iron is estimated with high accuracy by using the specific relational equation.
