Abstract:
To obtain a method for estimating the compressive strength of natural ground capable of estimating the compressive strength of natural ground with high accuracy.SOLUTION: A rock drill 10 equipped with a striking rod 15 that applies a striking force to the natural ground G with a bit 14 attached to the tip, and a strain gauge M1 for measuring reflected wave data reflected from the natural ground G and propagated to the striking rod 15 when a striking force is applied to the natural ground G by the striking rod 15 is prepared. A plurality of specimens S having different compressive strengths are hit with the rock drill 10 to obtain reflected wave data for each specimen S. A reflected wave stress amplitude ratio coefficient, which is the ratio of the maximum amplitude of the compressive stress and the maximum amplitude of the tensile stress of the reflected wave data, is obtained. From the compressive strength of each specimen S and the reflected wave stress amplitude ratio coefficient obtained for each specimen S, correlation data between the compressive strength and the reflected wave stress amplitude ratio coefficient is obtained. The compressive strength of the natural ground G is estimated from the correlation data and the reflected wave stress amplitude ratio coefficient of the reflected wave data measured when the rock drill 10 applies the striking force to the natural ground G to be excavated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 14
