To estimate a current location correctly even when a mobile terminal is stopped.
A located position most recently positioned when a GPS receiver section 10 which is a positioning section has finished positioning is determined to be the latest located position, and the combination of identification information (ID) of base stations (suspended base stations) with which a wireless communication circuit section 70 for portable telephones has performed wireless communication is stored in a flash ROM 80. The combination of base stations which currently perform wireless communication with the wireless communication circuit section 70, and the combination of the suspended base stations stored in the flash ROM 80 are compared when the GPS receiver section 10 restarts positioning. When determined that the combinations coincide, the latest located position stored in the flash ROM 80 is estimated to be the current location of a portable telephone 1. The estimated current location is used as the initial location during the first positioning at a positioning restart.
