Abstract:
To provide a method for estimating a film thickness of an electrodeposition coating capable of further accurately and precisely estimating a film thickness after electrodeposition coating has been applied.SOLUTION: A method for estimating a film thickness of an electrodeposition coating obtains a current value flowing through a target position per minute time using a computer on the basis of an electric resistance value of an electrodeposition film in the target position in which a film thickness of the electrodeposition film is estimated and an electric potential in an immersion tank in the target position, and obtains an electric quantity from the current value, to calculate the film thickness of the electrodeposition film by multiplying the electric quantity by Coulomb efficiency, and further calculates the film thickness by a repetitive loop until the total of minute time reaches a preset electrodeposition coating time to estimate the final film thickness, about the film thickness of the electrodeposition film of a coated member to which electrodeposition coating is applied by immersing the coated member in the immersion tank containing a coating material and applying a prescribed voltage between the coated member and an electrode installed in the immersion tank. The electric resistance value and Coulomb efficiency of the electrodeposition film are determined as a temperature function at the target position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
