To provide a method for estimating a load required to extrude coke in a coke oven by considering an influence of the wall unevenness of the coke oven to be exerted on the load required to extrude the coke and using oven wall profile information since the load is affected by a shape and a position of the wall unevenness.
The oven wall profile in a carbonization chamber of the coke oven is set. The carbonization chamber is divided in the longitudinal direction of the coke oven into a section of the even oven wall and a section of the uneven oven wall on the basis of the oven wall profile. The coke cake in the carbonization chamber is also divided into a plurality of component zones. Whether the coke cake in each component zone exists in the section of the even oven wall or the section of the uneven oven wall is discriminated. The extrusion force required to move the coke cake, which exists in each component zone and in the section of the even or uneven oven wall, at a predetermined speed is calculated by exerting the reaction force corresponding to the position of each component zone in the longitudinal direction of the coke oven on the coke cake from both of the coke extrusion side and its opposite side. The load required to extrude the whole coke cake from the carbonization chamber is estimated on the basis of the calculated extrusion force in each component region.
