METHOD FOR ESTIMATING MAXIMUM FLUIDITY COMBINED COAL

Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enable the production of a coke having a desired high strength by obtaining the logarithmic value of the flow temp. for each coal to be combined at each predetermined temp. between the flow initiating temp. and the solidifying temp., calculating weighted averages from the values to obtain the fluidities of combined coal and presuming the max. thereof as the max. fluidity of combined coal.

CONSTITUTION: The flow curve for each coal to be combined is enciphered from the flow initiating temp., max. flow temp., solidifying temp. and fluidity thereof, thereby obtaining a numerical formula. On the basis of this formula, the logathmic value of the fluidity for each coal to be combined at each predetermined temp, between the flow initiating temp. and the solidifying temp. is calculated. Weighted averages are calculated from the resultant logathmic values of the fluidity to obtain the fluidities of combined coal. The max. of the obtd. fluidities of combined coal is presumed as the max. fluidity of combined coal. The above method enables the estimation of the max. fluidity accurately. As a result, it is possible to produce a coke having a desired high strength.
