Abstract:
To provide a residual pre-stress force estimation method for a PC girder, whereby residual pre-stress force of the PC girder can be estimated easily and accurately.SOLUTION: In a method for estimating residual pre-stress force in a PC girder 1, in which a flexure crack 2 has arisen, strain measuring means 3 for measuring strains on a compressing side and a pulling side of the PC girder 1 and crack opening width measuring means 4 for measuring an opening width of the crack 2 are mounted. A relation between an average strain of a pulled reinforcing steel of the PC girder 1 and flexure moment or load acting on a cross-section of the PC girder 1 is obtained using measurement results from the strain measuring means 3 and the crack opening width measuring means 4. An inflection point at which this relation changes is used as an initial point of crack reopening, and flexure moment or load at the initial point of the crack reopening is used as bending moment or load. Using the flexure moment or load when the crack reopening arises, residual pre-stress force of the PC girder 1 is estimated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
