Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of estimating sensitivity to osteoporosis remedies, capable of estimating which one among plural osteoporosis remedies is most effective for an object patient, before the remedy is administered, so that the remedy can be suitably chosen, and therefore extremely useful for improving QOL(quality of life) of the patient.
SOLUTION: This method of estimating sensitivity to the osteoporosis remedies comprises analyzing genomic DNA contained in a sample derived from a human for each polymorphism of the vitamin D receptor gene, the estrogen receptor gene, and the apolipoprotein E3 gene, then estimating based on the analyzed gene polymorphism combination that the analyzed sample is derived from such a person as the person's sensitivity to a specific remedy has priority over those to the other remedies among the plural osteoporosis remedies.
