Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to evaluate anti-corrosion of stainless steel non-destructively in a short time.SOLUTION: A method for evaluating anti-corrosion of stainless steel comprises: measuring more than ten measuring points in a measurement range of more than 50 mm×50 mm for stainless steel having known surface roughness according to a spectroscopic ellipsometry; correcting an influence of surface roughness affecting a measurement value (Ψ, Δ) of a spectroscopic ellipsometry to calculate an optical constant; calculating a Cr cation fraction in a passivation coating from the optical constant; and evaluating anti-corrosion of the stainless steel using a correlation between the Cr cation fraction in the passivation coating and an anti-corrosion index.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
