Abstract:
To provide a technique capable of easily evaluating the degree of thermal degradation of sheathed electric wires.
Torsional oscillations are applied to a sheathed electric wire, in a state with a conductor being sheathed with a sheathing member to perform dynamic viscoelasticity tests and determine the correlation between storage modulus and temperature. On the basis of the correlation and glass transition temperature Tg and torsional modulus determined on the basis of the correlation, degree of thermal degradation of the sheathed electric wire is evaluated.
