PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for quantitatively evaluating a rigid feeling of a tyre with a high degree of precision.SOLUTION: The method of evaluating a rigid feeling of a tyre 6 includes a measurement process in which a spring constant K of the tyre 6 is measured. In the measurement process, the tyre 6 is sandwiched by a support jig for supporting the tyre 6 and a pressing tool 16 which is pressed against the tyre 6. As a result of such sandwiching, a load is applied to the tyre 6, and a value δ of deformation of the tyre from a condition where a load F1 is applied to the tyre 6 to a condition where a load F2 is applied to the tire 6 is measured. The spring constant from the load F1 to the load F2 is measured. The ratio of the load F1 to a normal load F of the tyre (F1/F) is 0.10 or larger. The ratio of the load F2 to the normal load F (F2/F) is 0.20 or smaller.
