To provide a method for effectively evaluating toluene gas removal performance of a porous material having a photocatalyst.
The method for evaluating toluene gas removal performance of a porous material having a lot of fine pores on the surface and carrying the photocatalyst on the surface in a distributed state is characterized in that a measuring process is repeated for multiple times, by putting the porous material carrying the photocatalyst in a distributed state on the surface into a gas pack filled with toluene gas, and measuring the residual concentration of toluene gas after a given time has passed and the toluene gas removal performance of the porous material is evaluated based on the measuring results in the respective measuring processes.
