Abstract:
PURPOSE: To expand a storing memory for a programmable controller(PC) without being influenced by the restriction of address space in a CPU or physical restriction for packaging.
CONSTITUTION: In the case of connecting an expanding memory device 3 to the PC provided with a CPU module 1 for executing a sequence program through a general LAN 4, I/O numbers indicating positions to be referred to by the module 1 are allocated to addresses in the device 3, and at the time of storing data in the memory 3, the data are stored in the position of an I/O number corresponding to the data in each word unit or bit unit. Consequently also another PC connected to the LAN 4 can easily refer to the contents of the device 3.
