To provide a method for exterminating insect pests utilizing negative ions that is a method for extermination by which safety is ensured even for human bodies and environment and effectiveness is maintained even in sites where extermination cannot be carried out by a conventional chemical nearly without toxicity to houses, or the like, by releasing the negative ions and an exterminating apparatus, in order to provide a method for exterminating the insect pests by which actions can be performed even in sites such as the interior of a wall of a house or a narrow gap where the insect pests are distributed with the safe apparatus having a simple structure at a low cost and a low running cost without requiring a controlling part and the exterminating apparatus.
This exterminating apparatus for insect pests utilizing the negative ions is obtained by installing a negative ion generating part 20, a blasting part 30 and a timer part 40 for carrying out the control of a driving time in a container body 10 composed of an air suction part 11, a blowoff part 12, an inner lid part 13, a lid part 14, leg parts 15, fixing parts 16 and a locking part 17. The negative ion generating part 20 is composed of a catalyst filter part 21 and a filter fixing part 22. The timer part 40 is connected to a switch 41, a pilot lamp 42 and the blasting part 30.
