Abstract:
To extinguish a tunnel fire with fire extinguishing dry chemicals while closing off the fire area with water curtains.
The fire area in a tunnel is closed off by the water curtains and the fire extinguishing dry chemicals are dispersed in the closed area. The water curtains cool combustion heat around the fire area, thereby facilitating the escape of fire victims and completely extinguishing the fire with less amounts of the fire extinguishing chemicals. In addition, the fire extinguishing dry chemicals enter into an engine covered with a bonnet easier than water, and they are also very effective in extinguishing oil fire of the engine.
