Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extract an object to be inspected regardless of the peripheral brightness without using any color extracting device.
SOLUTION: This method comprises dividing a color image obtained by a color camera 11 into R-signal, G-signal and B-signal to generate a variable density image at every signal of RGB; subtracting the variable density image (the variable density image of G-signal 'G-signal image') or the variable density image of B-signal 'B-signal image') not corresponding to the color (red) of the object to be inspected (FIPG2) from the variable density image corresponding to the color of the object (the variable density image of R-signal 'R-signal image') to generate a differential image, and further binarizing the differential image to generate a binarized image, thereby extracting the image of the object to be inspected.
