To provide a method for quickly and highly efficiently extracting an adsorbed compound from an adsorptive and mainly solid sample by a solvent extraction method in a relatively short time with a little solvent use amount.

The method is for separating an organic compound from a solid containing the organic compound and is carried out by charging an extraction cell with the solid together with an excess amount of a filler and bringing an extraction fluid into contact with them so as to transfer the organic compound from the solid to the extraction fluid.
