Abstract:
To surely provide a sound product by preventing generation of chevron cracks in extruding a metallic material.
A metallic material as a stock in which the ratio in flow stress of a center part to a base metal is ≤1.3 is extruded. Extrusion is effected with negative stress in the axial direction of the material to be extruded. Extrusion is effected with negative stress in the axial direction of the metallic material to be extruded in which the ratio in flow stress of the center part to the base metal is ≤1.4.
