Abstract:
To manufacture rubber-coated canvas without impairing elongation characteristics of the canvas.
In the canvas 40, a sheet 47 of low stretchability is jointed on the lower surface of the canvas 17. The canvas 40 is fed between a pair of pressure rolls 32, 33. Tension acts on the canvas 40 provided with the sheet in the feed direction Y. Unvulcanized rubber layer 45 is press-fit on the upper surface of the canvas 17 between the pair of pressure rolls 32, 33 to obtain canvas 48 provided with unvulcanized rubber. In this case, the stretchability of the sheet 47 of low stretchability in the feed direction Y is lower than that of the canvas 17.
