Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the method and a device for feeding a coating material to a die coater in which the prime work and the like can be carried out efficiently and sufficient quantitative properties can be exercised.
CONSTITUTION: When a coating material is sucked from the upper section of a coating material container 1 by a quantitative pump 7 and fed to a die 11, a self-suction feeding pump 2 is disposed and a circulating line is formed between the coating material container 1 and the self-suction feeding pump 2, and the quantitative pump 7 is disposed on the position below the liquid level of the coating material stored in the coating material container 1 and its suction side is connected with the circulating line. The prime work of the coating material to the quantitative pump 7 is carried out by driving the self- suction feeding pump 2 and filling the coating material in the circulating line, and then the self-suction feeding pump 2 is stopped, and the quantitative pump 7 is driven to feed the coating material to the die 11.
