PURPOSE: To optimize the filling rate of screenings and facilitate the bag setting by a method wherein the opening part of a bag longer than the height of a guide is set within the guide with the bag kept slack, a specified amount of dehydrated screenings are placed into the bag and the opening part of the bag is raised, folded inwardly and closed.
CONSTITUTION: A bag B longer than the height of a guide G on a turntable is set within the guide G in a slacked condition. The opening parts of the bag B are gripped by gripping pawl devices 23 and 24 and a specified amount of dehydrated screenings are placed into the bag. The gripping pawl devices 23 and 24 are then moved upwards to raise the opening parts of the bag B so as to take up the slack of the bag. Both of the gripping pawl devices 23 and 24 are thereafter lowered rapidly to give the bag B a shock, whereby the density of filling dehydrated screenings therein is enhanced. After repeating this action several times, the bag opening is closed.
