The method of filling the wooden chips into the box-shaped vessel 6 comprises steps of filling the chips classified into an arbitrary thickness or less into respective filling sections in the vessel 6 with its inside partitioned by a detachable partition into the plurality of filling sections with a width of 1.1 to 10 times the upper limit of the thickness of the wooden chips and thereafter removing the partition.
